Neutrals don’t have to be boring and bland…and they certainly don’t have to be black or navy either!

One thing I love about wearing a neutral colour palette is you don’t have to think too much about which pieces go together. Sometimes brights and patterns can be hard to match right?!

And just looking at my neutrals instantly cool me down and make me feel a bit more light and bright. Isn’t that what summer is all about?

Woman looking fab wearing neutral colours

This summer I have a few special events, and I don’t want to have to get a whole new outfit for each one…especially weddings! And I don’t want to be in all white or cream. That’s for the bride!

I mix it up, and work them all together. Sometimes I toss in some beige, bone or nude too!

My favourite trick to really making my neutral tones work, and give them some character is to add some texture into the mix. And I don’t mean prints…I mean fabrics and layers that look and feel different.

How will you mix it up and go nuts this summer?

Here are a few of my top picks from SYLVIA PARK to inspire YOU to go nuts with your neutral dressing this summer!

P.S. If brights are more your thing, keep an eye out for my Summer Brights blog coming up next time!
