24 November 2021

The countdown has begun to December 15. The end to so many days of locked down life. Christmas with family members near (and far, thank goodness) and dear is now on the cards. There’s just so much to look forward to.

In the meantime, however, the 15th is still a few picnic opportunities away. If you haven’t got picnicking down to a fine art yet, then chances are you may benefit from the picnic-related product available. I’ve included an item or two that may appeal… and a game to play while out in a park meeting friends in a socially distanced kind of way.

I’ve had a chat or two with girlfriends over the last week about what they went shopping for -once they could physically go shopping again – and my product photos are reflective of their answers.

The first friend to answer said she shopped for Christmas paraphernalia (she was quick to answer me, so, unsurprisingly is on the ball in terms of getting her tree up already). I love seeing Christmas wreaths on doors at this festive time, and I’m a tad taken with the driftwood Christmas tree – they really don’t have to be green and have pine needles! Another friend said she promptly headed to Westgate Lifestyle to buy wireless headphones. Over lockdown she realised they would be great to wear when exercising in her home gym, and excellent for when working at home with others also home, funnily enough.

Lots of people have been gardening during lockdown, and if you’re one of them and don’t own some footwear specifically suited to time in the garden then you may wish to rectify that. I think I will. The scuff gumboot is enjoying a significantly reduced price tag. As for why a golf bag features, well, my husband tells me that many people have been watching golf during lockdown and now want to play it. The golf courses are busy.

It’s a happening time of the year. As well as the December 15 excitement, we have both summer and Christmas on the way. There’s a gift idea or two featuring this time, and some summer-inspired product too. I won’t need to remind you about the sales – they’ll jump out at you. Happy shopping.
