IT'S SNUGGLY SEASON | WESTGATE LIFESTYLE

One of the best things about winter is the inclination to snuggle down and get cosy.

I’m sure you can add many other “best things” in praise of winter too. Things like hot water bottles, donning the scarves and hats and layering away, eating hearty foods like casseroles and soup, relaxing in hot tubs and saunas, languishing fireside, supping on hot cocoa and mulled wine, enjoying snow (and other) winter sport, and burrowing under warm bedding.

I found that my quest for product this time gravitated towards things that spoke to me of “snuggly opportunities” and being warm…things like the faux fur beanbag I found at NOOD – how do you NOT want to sink into that? Being warm in bed is a biggie, and there are a variety of ways of achieving this thanks to wheaties, hot water bottles (with cute covers), electric blankets, duvets and delicious blankets, flannelette sheets and pyjamas, and woollen mattress toppers, all of which are available in a number of our stores. Hop out of bed to feel a luxuriously soft shaggy rug underfoot – they too are on offer at more than one Westgate store. And if exercise is your get-out-of-bed go to, then it’s certainly time to replace the shorts with something offering more fabric – Rebel sport has quite a range, and of sweatshirts too.

June is just around the corner, and yippee, with June comes two long weekends thanks to Matariki being added to the mix.
