MOST WANTED THIS CHRISTMAS | NORTHLANDS

When it comes to Christmas, I shop early and often (bank manager, look away now!).  I just love spoiling my nearest and dearest with carefully chosen items that I know they’ll love so pick up on little hints all year round, filing them away for the perfect holiday gift.  Heading into Northlands armed with ideas makes the whole experience smoother and more fun and works to keep me within budget and on task – leaving time to find a wee treat for myself too!

If you haven’t heard about Squishmallows or Cats vs Pickles yet, you will if you’re shopping for kids this Christmas.  Appealing to a wide range of ages, they also come in different sizes so they’re suitable for a large (if tricky to wrap – leave it to Northland’s charity gift wrappers Heart Kids, Papanui PTA, St John and Allenvale School, or a cute stocking stuffer.  The new Nintendo Switch is the other popular choice on Santa letters – you can connect up to four controllers so this might make a good joint family gift.  Rounding out the most wanted gifts for kids are perpetual favourites that you might have asked for when you were a child – Lego, outdoor toys, roleplay and anything with wheels.  Here are some of my favourites, available right now at Northlands.

She loves Northlands so it’s a safe bet that you’ll find something she’s been coveting to put under the Christmas tree.  Encourage her to relax with the latest book releases or set her up to hide her book addiction with an e-reader wrapped up with a luxe robe or loungewear.  If her idea of relaxation is shopping, pick up a Northlands giftcard and send her off to treat herself.  Or, if you’re thinking fragrance or beauty products, let store staff know what she loves using already and you’ll be well on the way to picking the perfect present.

Now don’t get me wrong, he probably needs socks and undies but are they really on his most wanted list?  Save these to tuck into the bottom of his stocking and looks for treats with a touch of luxury such as watches (custom engraved for the wow factor), quality headphones, travel accessories or fragrance to treat yourself as much as him.  Or cater to his hobbies and talents with a BBQ, the latest game, power tools or sports gear from these Northlands retailers.
